During Christmas my sister and I look at all of the gifts that are under the tree that are ours. Then we measure the ones that are ours to find what it could possible that we asked for.
We find the mass and how long and width of all the presents.

The other day my dad bought my brother, sister, and me Arby's. When we got home my sister's soda was over flowing from the top of the lid. I think that her soda over flowed because of the carbonation that is inside of the soda. When my dad was driving the soda probably was shacked in the cup and so when we got home the soda got a lot of air bubbles. Blog 3 April 16, 2010
OMG!!!! Monday was the first day of TRACK PRACTICE! But I didn't go till Tuesday....In track there is science all around just like there is everywhere else. Right now we are trying finding out the different things that we want to do, and right now am clueless so am going to try everything. When you are doing the long jump you are supposed to run full speed then jump off the box to cause your acceleration to slow down. Which helps to stay in the air longer so that you gliding so that you can land farther?

On Saturday of last weekend I went to my older cousin’s 15th birthday party because Hispanic’s have a coming of age when they are 15. At the party there was energy coming off of everything. There was sound energy coming from the speakers that our family’s Mexican band was playing from. There was also light energy that came from the different lights that they used to brighten up the party. In the kitchen they were using heat energy to heat up all of the different kinds of food that they were cooking. Blog 5

My dad works for Quest and he has to use simple machines everyday like he has to use screws for the transformers and the electric poles that help hold things together or he has to use different types of screws for twisting things in to help hole them together. There are also a lot of other different things that help my dad work for Quest he also can use wedges like a nail that pushes its way through a piece of wood and of metal or other things that he needs to. He also uses levers to help him get up on the electric poles, and gears he uses for the transformers. So as you can see that everyone uses simple machines for everything to help with our daily lives.

Today for dinner my mom made me make powdered crystal light. This is a sign of science because it is a SOLUTION; it is a solution because it is not chemically combined in is mixed very well but uneasy to take apart. But when you leave the juice out for a while you will start to notice that there is the powered of the juice start to gather around the rim of where the top of the juice is. That is because the water is starting to evaporate.

April 16, 2010 On Thursday my mom made me make salad for dinner and this is a sign of science because this is a MIXTURE….this is a mixture because when two or more substances combine, but not chemically, and that can be separated. Salad can be separated because it has big chunks in it and they don’t stick together. Also that morning my mom made me have a banana for breakfast, it have energy in it because everything does, the sun gives off energy that helps the bananas grow, so that when we eat them they give us the energy and protean that we need to help us do the things that we need to like class work or the energy that I need to be able to so that I can participate in track and P.E. Okay so recently I have just got over the fact that I have to spend my money 24/7, once i get it and have it that is. Shopaholics have something wrong with them because they are trying to down themselves with spoiling themselves they are either obsessive about fashion or they have mental issues. Shopaholics have addictions to shopping like any other addiction people are trying to forget about something that is hurting them and deal in other ways. To some it is the giddy rush that they get when they are at the register that gets them going.

May 10, 2010 Athletes are the most immune to the causes and effects of shin splints. Symptoms of can be pain over the insides of the lower half of the shin. Pain returns after participating in an activity and may be worse the next morning. Sometimes swelling, lumps and bumps could be felt while feeling the inside of the shin bone. Pain when the toes or foot are bent downwards. Shin splints can be treated by icing to simply reducing pain and inflammation. Rest and allow injury to heal its self, stretch the muscles of the lower leg. Apply heat, use the heat on the shin and support the calf after. Shin splints can be caused by biomechanical (abnormal movement patterns) and errors while training. Increasing training too fast, running on hard surfaces, and decreasing the flexibility at the ankle joint. Blog 11

in my family it is common for us girls to end up with breast cancer, or others (cancer). But it is common for men to have breast cancer too. In the early stages of breast cancer there are most likely no symptoms that you can tell about, while the breast grows it can have the change in appearance and or the feeling of it. The changes can be....
-A lump/thickness in the underarm area or the breast.
-A change in size and or shape of the breast.
-Dimpling or puckering in the skin of the breast.
-The nipple changes directions, as in it turns inward to the breast.
-Fluids coming from the nipple, definitely if it is bloody.
-If it looks scaly, red, or swollen on the skin of the breast, nipple, or the areola (is the dark area of skin ate the center of the breast).
-Skin can have ridges or pitting which causes it to look like the skin of an orange.
Info. On Benign Tumors:
-They are rarely a threat to your life.
-They can be removed and normally they won’t grow back.
-They don’t infect the tissues around them.
-They don’t spread to other parts of the body.
Info. On Malignant Tumors:
-They may be a threat to your life.
-They often can be removed, but they sometimes grow back.
-They can invade and destroy nearby organs and the tissues (like the chest wall).
-They can spread to other parts of the body. Blog 12,

This disorder affects the retina (that is the light-sensitive tissue lining the back of the eye).Which is how seeing is even to happen. With RP sight is loosed gradual and progressive. It isn’t common for people with RP to become totally blind, but most keep some kind to useful vision as they go into their old age.

I always wonder what are Aseburgers and Atuism. I know that they are something that cant be cured and I know that they are something that is wrong with people, but what are they.....
They are actually very similar and most of the times hard to be diaignosed, there is no certin way of finding out if you are, like no blood test or anything like that. They are both disoreds that may cause some people to look (sometimes), and act different. There are also differences between the two of the disorders, like that children with Asperger's syndrome normally function better than those with Autism. Also children with Asperger's syndrome usually have normal intelligence and near-normal language development, but they may develop other problems connunication as they get older.
Asperger's: Asperger's is a type of pervasive development disorder (PDD). PDD are a a group of conditions that involve delays in their development, many basic skills, most dont have the ability to socialize with other people, to communitcate, and for them to use their imagination. There is no known causes to have been the start of Asperger's syndrome, but there is a fact that it can be inherited by an ansseseder. Asperger's is known to be more common then Autism is. There can be many symtoms that can prove that they have Asperger's, like...
-Problems with social skills.
-Eccentric or repentitive behaviors.
-Limited range of interests.
-Connunication difficulties.
-Limited range of interests.
-Coordination problems.
-Skilled and or talented.
Autism: Autism is a type of PDD also. Nearlly 75% children with Autism also have mental retardation. Most children with Autism are not able to have a bond with there parents or their other family members. Normally the symptoms of Austim become noticed before the child is 3 years old and last throughout his/her lifetime like...
-Difficulty to verbally communicate with others.
-Unable to participate in a conversation.
-No imagination
-Difficulty with gestures and facial expressions.
-Difficulty with social interaction.
-Unable to make friends and preferr to play alone.
-Preoccupation with unusual objects or parts of objects.
-Repetitive body movements, patterns of behavior.
-Difficulty adjusting to changes in routines or familiar surroundings.
