Week 21
This week I am going to talk about chemical reactions. A chemical reaction is the combination of two reactants to form an entirely new product. When chemical reaction bonds are broken, new bonds are created. A chemical reaction is not always caused by mixing two things together, but it can be a chemical reaction. An example is when you mix chemicals together there can sometimes be a chemical reaction occurring. That’s all I got for this week.

Week 20
This week I am going to talk about more compound machines. The compound machine I am going to talk about is an electric pencil sharpener. The simple machines that comprise the electric sharpener is a wedge and gears. The wedge of the pencil sharpener is the blades that turn to cut the pencil to sharpen the pencil. The gears of the pencil sharpener are the gears in the electric pencil sharper that turn to turn the wedge of the electric pencil sharpener. Well that’s all I got now.
Week 19
Today I’m going to talk about more compound machines. The compound machines I’m going to talk about are a car. A car has many simple machines, but the ones that we can see easily on the car are a wheel and axel, inclined plane, and lever. The wheel and axel of the car is the actual wheel of the car. The inclined plane of the car is the windshield. The lever of the car to me I think is the windshield wiper. So this is all I’ve got to talk about, so bye.

Week 18
Hello Again, for today I’m going to talk about reflection. Reflection is so important in our lives and it would be very hard to live without it. Reflection does many things for us, like help us look into a mirror and see ourselves to fix up for school or going somewhere. It also helps drivers because the mirrors on the car help us see behind us and in front at the same time just by looking into a mirror, which helps us gets into less crashes and accidents. Without reflection living would be much harder than it is now and reflection for us now is needed every day. Well that’s all I got for reflection for now see ya.
Week 17
Denny here again and today I’m going to talk about refraction. Well let me explain what refraction is, well refraction is when light bends around or through an object. Refraction is in a lot of places in our world and many examples of it. Some examples is when after it rains and the sun shines and you see a rainbow, well that’s because the light is going through the raindrops and the lights refract and create a rainbow. Another example is when you put a glass of water in the light perfectly it will refract and come out the other side with multiple colors. Well that’s all I got now see you later.

Week 16
Hello it is Denny again and today I’m going to talk about more compound machines. The compound machine I am going to talk about is mechanical crane. A mechanical crane is made out of a pulley, lever, and wheel and axel. The pulley in the crane is the string that lowers the item down and carries it up. The lever is the switches that are pulled to lower the crane’s string. The wheel and axel of the mechanical crane is the wheels on the machine that help the mechanical crane move around. Well that’s all I got see ya.
Week 15
Hey Denny again and here I’m going to talk about the color spectrum and light. Well the color spectrum is the visible light you see. The colors in the color spectrum are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Light can be seen and sometimes can be reflected. Light is interesting because if you shine white light on something black the light will not reflect, but if you shine the white light on a white object like a prism and then the color spectrum will be reflected. Now if you shine the light on something green then the light’s color reflected back will be green. Well that’s all I got this week byeee.

Week 14
Hey Denny’s here again and I’m going to talk about waves. Now I’m not just gunna talk about waves we surf on noooo, there are so many other waves out in the world. Some waves we have in this world are radio waves, microwaves, infrared waves, visible light waves, ultra-violent waves, x-rays waves, and gamma waves. Some examples of radio waves are our radio’s we use at home to listen to news, music, and the forecast. Another wave is the x-rays waves and an example of this is the x-rays we use to check our bones to see if they’re fractured or broken. Well that’s all I’m gunna talk about bye bye.
Week 13
Hey again. Well this week I’m going to talk about mixtures and compounds. There are many things that are compounds and mixtures. Some examples of mixtures are salad and soil. A mixture is when things can be mixed together but then can be separated. Some examples of Compounds are water and table salt. A compound is a like a mixture, but the process to separate takes much more energy to take apart. Well that’s all I’m gunna talk about, Bye.

Week 12
Hey people its Denny again. Well this week I’m going to talk pulleys. There are so many things in our city that uses a pulley type of system. Some examples are flagpoles, elevators, and those pulleys they use to lift pianos or heavy things to a higher level. Pulleys make lifting so much easier and really just cuts the effort you need to lift in half. Without Pulleys lifting to higher places make take a lot more work or trying to go to another level would never even more work than taking an elevator and also it would take more time. Well that’s all I got bye bye.
Week 11
This week I’m going to talk about electricity. There are so many things in my house that have electricity, like my refrigerator, toaster, lights, microwave, my charger, my cell phone, my television, and lots of more things. I also can tell that there are things that need electricity, but do not need to be plugged in to a outlet all the time, like a cell phone or a PSP or DS. I also found out last week that my house’s lights are in a parallel circuit form because when you remove one light bulb from its socket the other light bulbs do not go out. So electricity is everywhere and sometimes it can be very interesting.

Week 10
This week I am going to talk about more compound machines. The compound machine I am going to talk about is a bike. A bike is a compound machine because it is made up of gears and wheel and axle. The gears in the bike are located when you step on the pedal and the chain goes through the chain. The wheel and axle on the bike is the wheels of the bike.

Week 9

Well today I’m going to talk about more machines, but I’m going to talk about gears and where you can find them. Well let’s start off by explaining what a gear is, a gear is a wheel with teethes on the side of it, gears can be fitted together and rotates to do many things. Some things that have gears to help it are a clock. A clock has gears because it helps the clock go forward in time and tells us what the time is. Something else that has gears is bikes. The gears on a bike are what holds of the chains and the pedals move the chain to move the gears to let the bike move. Well that’s all I have for this week.

Week 8
Hey everyone it’s Denny again and this week I was thinking about to talk about the compound machine the knife. I know the knife is a compound machine because it’s made out of two simple machines, a lever and a wedge. The knife’s lever is the arm of the person cutting and the handle of the knife and I know this because our arm is effort and the fulcrum is the elbow of our body. The knife’s wedge is the blade of the knife and I know this because this is what is used to cut through the object.

Week 7

This week I am going to talk about rain and all its different phase. Well today it was raining soft and it was wet everywhere and this stage of rain is in its liquid form. But yesterday in the morning the rain instead of being a liquid was frost and that phase is the solid of the water. On Tuesday the morning was full of fog and I could barely see through it and this phase would be, like the gas of the water. Days before that it was warm and sunny and the water all evaporated because of the heat and this is also can be a gas as it evaporates.

Week 6
This week I am going to talk about my glasses and how they are related to science. The reason why my glasses are related to science is because the lenses of the glasses help to make my vision better. How they do this that depends if the person is nearsighted or farsighted, but if the person is nearsighted the lenses are concave and bend the light rays outward, which then normalize the eyes. Then there is people who are farsighted whose lenses are convex and bend the light rays inward before it reaches the eyes lenses, thus fixing the vision of the person.

Week 5
For this week the science subject I am going to talk about is Potential and Kinetic energy. What happened was that I was walking down a hill and remembered this was like potential and kinetic energy because at the top of the hill was when I had the most potential and as I walked down the hill I gained some speed because the hill was kind of steep, so this was when I had the most kinetic energy. That is what I found out this week that was related to science.

Week 4
For this week the science thing I am going to talk about is related to science because related to force and motion. What happened was that I was at home lifting weights and what was happening was that if I lifted more weight I had a hard time and had to use more strength.
This is related to the science subject force and motion because when I had more weight I had to use more strength to lift it or what can be called force. So the more weights I added the more force or strength I had to use, but if I didn’t use more force I couldn’t lift it.

Week 3
Hey it’s Denny
For this week the thing I’m going to talk about that was related to science is when I went bowling during the weekend. Now what happened was that when bowled and it was rolling slow it wouldn’t knock down as much as when the ball was going fast.
This is related to science because this is related to force because it took more force to make the ball go fast to hit the pins and knock down more pins, but it didn’t take much force to roll the ball slow and knock down many pins.

Week 2
Hey people its Denny again,
For this week the thing I’m going to talk about that was related to science was when I went ice skating during the winter break. The thing while I was ice skating that was related to science was when I was on the ice when I pumped once to go forward I would start to slow down and then come to a stop.
The reason this is related to science is because this is related to friction. The ice skates would slide on the ice and the ice would start to make me go slower because of the friction that was happening when I was skating.

Week 1
Hey people its Denny,
Well guys for this first week of science something that’s related to science I think is going to be kind of like unbalanced forces. This was when we had a football game. We were playing against Meeker and we were running so plays and the full back (Jamal) was getting the ball to run and when he got the ball he ran and knocked over many people running at him and trying to tackle him.
This is related to unbalanced forces because the full back was running and when people tried to knock into him and tackle him, he got through because he had more force than the people tackling him, thus knocking the other people down when they tried to tackle him and making the two forces unbalanced because he had more force than the people tackling him. This is why this is related to the science in unbalanced forces.
