Scientific Notation
Scientists around the world use scientific notation to express quantities that are either too small or too large to be expressed in standard notation. For example: One scientist might state that the tallest mountain on this planet is 4 ∙ 108 feet tall instead of outright saying that the tallest mountain is 400,000,000 feet tall. When talking about light years and things that are outside of the Milky Way galaxy, it is nice to understand this useful method of expressing quantities.
To write a number in scientific notation (let’s say 2oo) you must move the decimal over to where the number is at least one or less than 10. In this case, I moved the decimal over two places to the left so that now I was working with 2. Those two spots I moved over became the value of my exponent. If the number would have been less than one originally, I would have moved to the right and the number of spots would have been a negative value. (I hope that helped!)

Bad Breath
A bacteria called plaque produces volatile sulpher compounds in human mouths, this is what gives people bad breath (halitosis). Bad breath can mean gum disease, dry mouth and unhealthy medical conditions for the person having it. Brushing your teeth, and even your tongue, helps scrub away the bad bacteria that causes bad breath.
