One day me and my friend were skateboarding to the skate park. When i was riding my skateboad i lost control and turned toward a grass area near the sidewalk, and when my skateboard hit the grass area it immediatly stopped. I think this is science realted to friction, because the friction between the skateboard and the grass was rough that it made the board stop, and would make it very hard to push and keep moving on grass. =]

Over break i was watching the Winter Dew Tour, and when you snowbaord there's no friction to slow you down when riding because the wax on your board prevents friction from getting the board stuck on the snow. Since there is no friction between the board and the snow this make you ride down the mountain at a very fast pace making it very hard to stop without having to switch differently. (SnowBoarding) =]
Jan, 15 2010 Last night i was playing around with my friend. and He pushed me when i was standing and i lost my balance and fell. I think this is related to science because it's a force of motion, because the force of someone's hand caused me to move and i lost my balance and fell on the floor.

I don't know if this could be science but hopefully it is, ok. when i came home from a long day of school and walking around places, i took off my shoes but kept my socks on, i started gliding across the floor and touched my friend and i shocked him, i think this is static electricity because the energy from my socks an the carpet traveled through my body and once i touched something the static energy let out on my friend.

I don't know what kind of science is , but i know it involves friction. Yesterday night me and my friend were boerd so we grabbed two of the blankets from my room. then we layed the blankets flat on the carpet above the stairs and my friend went first. he pushed forward with the blanket and slid down super fast. normally i slide down with just myself on my but and it's slower, but with the blanket underneath the friction between both was smooth and made it faster and easier to slide on.

I think volley ball is related to scinece because it's based on the force of hitting the ball and how you hit the ball. first I'll start off with the force of hitting the ball, if you hit the ball with your hand hard enough it will move more faster and quicker to the oppisite side of the net. second is the way the ball is hit when hitting the ball with a bump the direction of the ball is moving upward. when spiking the ball, the direction of the ball will shoot downward to the floor. when serving the ball with an overhand, the direction of the ball goes straight forward. then last when serving the ball with an underhand, the direction of the ball will go upward while straight over the net. =D

In P.E we've started a new unit called pickle ball, I think this is related to science, with the same terms as volleyball has. When playing pickle ball you use a wooden paddle and an hollow ball with holes all around it. When hitting the ball it's motion of direction and speed are created by you and the paddle. If you hit the ball with a back hand it goes more to the left, if you hit the ball with a forward hand it goes more to the right. To make the ball fast you hit the ball with more force, a lite contact with the paddle and ball will make it go at a steady speed.

Over the weekend me and my mom went to the store and found a new printer. right now in scince we are learning about simple machines, one simple machine is a Pulley. I learned that there are pulleys in a printer, when you but your paper into the paper slot and your printing something there are little pulleys that pull your paper through the printer all the way until it's finished printing.

I found on the internet that Gravitatinol energy, I found outthat if you make a fist with both of your hands and hold them out near each other, that gravitatinol force will try and pull them together even with little force. the weight of each hand is the gravitatinol force between it and the earth.
March, 4 2010 In my house we have an emergency flash light that works way different from a normal flash light. this blog is related to electricity. When you plug our flash light into a holder thing attached to our wall a plastic peice enters through a slot in the flash light that seperates the battery from the power thing in the flash light causing the flash light to power off. Once the flash light was disconnected from the holder the plastic thing will let the battery attach back into the slot powering the flash light back on.

In science i learned how heat can move a peice of paper hanging from a string, first we lit a candle and hung over a swirly peice of paper hanging from a string. Once the paper started turning i realized the heat from the candle move arising through the holes in the paper causing it to spin.

In science i learned that animals with hair such as dogs, giraffes, monkeys, etc have warm blood because the hair trapts most of the heat in there body. I also learned that animals with no hair or fur tend to have cold blood because without the hair traping the heat inside the warth is released making the animals cold blooded, most of these cold blooded animals are dolphins, snakes, geckos, etc.

In science today i learned about different types of waves, one of these waves i learned about was called diffraction. Diffraction is explaining in easy words a sound wave that can spread out more further around places then just straight through. for example: without diffraction if i were to talk and someone would be behind me they would not be able to hear me, but the people I'm facing would hear me. Another example: is lighting if there were a light in a class room without diffraction the light would only light up the part that it's directed straight down to, withdiffraction it spreads out more curving the light on the table, and lighting up more of the room.

In science i learned about color spectrum and why objects refract in water. Color spectrums are like a rainbow to me except with an extra color, color spectrum short is Roy G.BIV aka red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. I learned that objects refract in water because of the speed change in light, when the speed changes while a light curves into a glass cup and an objects like a ruler is put into the cup the ruler looks unnormal that it usually looks.

In science i learned about refraction of light waves. I learned that if you shine a light into the ocean or water, the light will shine in a different spot from were you positioned the light in the water. I also noticed how it makes object appear, for example if you put a pen in a glass of water the pen looks like it's been sliced in half and doesn't look like its all together from before you put it in the water.

In science i learned how the earth changes from daytime to nightime. I learned that the earth spins causing the sun to go down and the moon to rise.

Today in science i learned in astronomy that for it to be offically a day the earth has to spin a full circle. For it to offically be a year the earth has to rotate a full circle.

Today in gardening,I got to take home my house plant (can't remeber name). Over the past months, my plant is related to science because of photosythesis, this is a type of energy that comes from the sun to give a plant energy and ability to grow.

In science i learned that if the earth stopped spinning we would all die, i think that the reason we would die is because with out the sun we would be able to give are plants and crops energy to grow. which means we'll have no food to eat and we could die of starvation.

In science while i was researching things for my NASA project, i learned that Cassini released the Huygens probe that performed and continued numerous Flybys. The Huygens probe then entered Titan’s atmosphere on January, 14 2005. During the 2.5 hour descent, The spacecraft deployed a main parachute for stabilization and relay data and images back to the orbiter for transmission back to Earth. It landed on rocky, muddy terrain and successfully sent back the first images from the surface of a moon beyond Earth’s.

I learned that the stars are puff's of gas and dust, and when a star explodes the gas and dust tkae to make a new star.

I learned in science that constellations are star patterns that create pictures of people, animals, or objects. To ancient romans and greeks the study of pattern of stars were mythilogical characters. I also learned the explosion of stars is called a supernova.
