Have you ever walked over to a TV to turn it off, then get hit by static? Well TV's/ radio's/ escalators/ etc, generate a lot of static electricity, thus; when you touch them the "shock" you.
5/7/10
If you ask a shot-putter why they swing there legs and other arm, they will tell you that it is because, we use our leg strength to make the shot go farther, and we use our other hand for momentum.
4/30/10
Have you ever been watching a sport and then jumped off of the couch and jump up and down. Well what is happening is you are pushing your self off of the ground, then gravity pushes you back "down to earth" so if i did it i would be pushing 93lb against gravity.
4/23/10
Today my mom and I were remodeling and I was thinking 'bout where to put the TV and when we were putting it up we thought all about where the cables would go. I thought 'bout getting wireless adapters for the tuner and was thinking, sense we would need 10-15, how the signals wouldn't get mixed up and have the Jukebox playing while i wanted the Wii music to play, that would be a total fail.
4/16/10
In an article i was reading it said that, whenever you push a letter on a keyboard it sends a signal to the CPU and the CPU's video card to show what i am typing on the screen. The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is like a brain. The video card shows all the things you see on the screen and the CPU tells it to do that, this appears as a million pixels in an arrangement that is viewable as letters or pictures.

When I had my ski accident I was going a good 20-30mph (if not faster) and even though I went up a little bit of a hill i did slow down a bit. Yet I went 20' in the air, and; sense I was going at an angle when I landed I started to slide down a down hill slope. so even though my 93lb was pushing on the hill i was not pushing against friction 'cause there was ice that my body was sliding on.

Guns work by a hammer like substance hitting the bullet that has gunpowder in the base of the bullet, when gunpowder is under pressure then it will explode thus, making the bullet shoot.

OBLIC, it is a solid until you touch it then it turns into a liquid in your hands. The reason that this is like that is the states of matter, but; wait, if when you move fast around it then it will be a liquid, but; it does the opposite. The faster you move / more friction there is the more of a solid it is, and if it just sits there it is a liquid.
3/19/10
If you look at a broom sweeping a porch you will see that it is an lever. The handle that you hold on to is the effort, and the dust that you push is the load.
3/12/10
If you get an ice cube and watch it melt, does it stay the same in mass? What about how it's appearance? It changes from solid, hard and cold. Now it is Wet, room temp and liquid. Cool isn't it?
3/5/10
Have you ever wondered how the titanic sank? Well it was swimming in the Atlantic ocean and it hit an iceberg at an angle and the iceberg scratched the ship and damaged it. This did some internal damage and the ship couldn't make it the rest of it's voyage, and thus it sank.

Do you drink cider? Well if so, do you make it by making hot water and then putting the powder in the water? Do you know how the powder make the flavor? What it is is that the powder has a super strong flavor to it, and when you the powder dissolves into the water and the flavor spreads across the water making it taste like cider.

Plants are also science. They are a living thing. They may not be humans but they need water like us and there food is sunlight. They also need to be watched. This way if something happens to them like they aren't growing that they can be taken care of. Also they cant have too much water or they drown like if you put a human in a pool and put a cover on it and filled the water until there is no air.
2/12/10
Rainbows are a cool way of science. Rainbows can be observed whenever there are water drops in the air and sunlight is shining from behind. This is what makes the cool color effect.
2/5/10
Have you ever wondered why when 1 bulb in a stand of lights goes out the whole stand goes out? Well that is because the circuit is a series circuit. A series circuit means that the circuit is one stand that has a light every once in a while. If one of the lights go out then the whole circuit goes out. Now days the lights are parallel circuits. That means that the circuit splits into more circuits so if a bulb goes out that the others stay lit.

Have you ever slidin down a hand rail on a flight of stairs? Have you ever fallen off of it when you got to the end and hit the block? Well if so then you have been part of Newton’s 1st Law of Motion. Once an object is in motion it will stay in motion until acted apron another force. You (The object) will be in motion (sliding down the stair-rail) until acted on by another force (The block at the end of the rail).

Have you ever wondered why the wheels on a car have to move faster for the car to go faster? Well that is because of friction. If the wheel moves faster than it is pushing against the ground harder and that makes it go faster. The ground make a resistance against the cars weight and it need more power to go farther and faster.

If you have ever thought about it your House, RV, Apartment, 5th Wheel, etc is made up of a bunch of simple machines. The stares (weather it is to the door or upstairs) are inclined plains. The door has wheels & axles in it. If you put a door stop in the door then there is another inclined plain.
1/8/10
Another item that is made up of simple machines are Exercise machines. Those have Pulleys for the weights to be pulled up and down. There are levers when they have to pull down the bars above your head. There are screws that hold the whole thing together.

There are a bunch of items out there that are simple machines. For example there is a bike. Bikes are made up of Pulleys, Levers, Wheels and Axel, and screws. The screws are used to hold the bike together. the wheel & axle are the wheels. The Pulleys are the brakes. The Lever is the handle bar.

When a ball is hit off of a bat or hits the ground, the sound reaches your ears. The farther you are away from the ball then the longer the time it will be before you hear the noise of the ball.

One way of momentum is when a skateboarder in a skate park. Let me paint a picture for you. If there is a ramp at the top of the park and he will kick off and get to slide down the park on his own w/o using his own force. If the ramp is long enough he will go through the park on his own and not need further assistance.

Everything in the world is science. From paper and pen, all the way to computers. If I had to pick my favorite way that science could be used, it would have to be...
1) Computers/ Video-games.
2) Puppets/ Ventriloquist.
3) iPods/ iPhones. ShotStuff - Top 3 SONGS OF THE WEEK (Some May Be Explicit, Parental Advisory Advised)
Carry-Out "Justin Timberlake & Timbaland"
