Week 23 6/4/10
At baseball practice I got hit with the ball. I wanted to talk about this because everyone was talking about (If that makes sense). I think this is part of science because I was going for the grounder but the infield had a lot of rocks and it forced the ball to have a bad hop.
Week 22 5/28/10
When I was listening to the radio I was wondering why they have antennas. I think they have it because the radio station is sending radio waves and I think thats why there are different radio stations. Sometimes you have to move the antennas around to make it the music clear.
Week 21 5/21/10
I was watching ESPN baseball and I saw a player sliding to second and I had thought that the faster you go then the longer you slide but it is going to be hard because you are going through sliding friction. You are going through sliding friction because the dirt is kind of stopping you.

I learned that you have wear sunblock because I saw Wyatt have a sun burn and he didn't wear sunblock. When I patted his back he said it was hurting and it felt like a hot towel hitting him.

I learned that Mecury is like the moon and that it is made up of lava and lots of rock.

Today I learned how the moon changes and the moon phases. I learned what the moon looks like and how it changes.

Today I learned that the moon controls the tides we have on earth.

I learned that people say that blood is blue untilit touch's oxygen, but I am sure it is wrong because I already think that you already have oxygen in your body so it would be red.

I learned that a probe takes pictures in space that we can't take. We have to use a probe to take the pictures because the pictures are too high in space that I don't think that we can reach.

I learned that electricity can be static, like what holds a balloon to the wall or makes your hair stand on end. I also think that all of the electromagnetic spectrum is electromagnetic waves.

I hade learned that radiowaves can be part of science because that what makes your cell phone work. It also can transmit to the radio to make the station work.

I learned that when there is two flasks and the bottom one is Warm and the Top flask is cold then the warm one would be going to the top because of the heat rising. The top flask which is the cold one would be to the bottom because the temperature wouldn't rise like heat.

When I was doing Weekly HW for science I saw that it was about AC/DC batteries. It was about power lines. That is current electricity. Current electricity moves really fast and contiuously moving.

I had realized that Doctors can be using science because when they do allergic tests they have to expirement which shots your allergic too. They have to put about 30 and do it seperately. If they do it in all in one shot they will never know which the person is allergic too.

I saw when we were focusing on static electricity that static lives on an object. On TV I saw that lightning can be an example of static electricity. Static electricity is built by static charge.

I was watching the Olympics and saw the USA and Canada play Hockey against each other. I saw that it is science because the player has the energy when he hits the puck with the stick and transfers to kinetic energy.

Today in first block I was playing with my pencil. I thought that I would write this down because the pencil had to do with science. Everytime I threw it up it would always come down because of gravity.

I was listening to music in my room I saw that it was a part of science. I saw that it was sound energy that was helping the sound to come out. I think the sound energy was coming from the electric energy that made the radio turn on.

Today I was playing tackle football and hit my friend so hard that all my kinetic energy took over his and forcing him backwards to fall which came from the gravity.

On ESPN I was watching basketball and saw that you need enough force to make the basketball go in the hoop. The ball had some science in it because if you bounce the ball to the ground it will come back up. If you bounce it up with more force then that the ball will come up higher. If you shoot the ball in the hoop the ball will go down because of the gravity.

Today on ESPN I was watching pool trick shots. I saw that is had some science in it. Pool had science in it because of the friction of the pool table. The pool table is Suede and it ruins the direction of the ball. The ball also goes in a different direction because of rolling friction. When they try to shoot it an object they don't know when to hit it hard or soft. They have really hard obstacles to go through to make the other ball make in the pocket.

During P.E I almost fell while I was running because of the ground that was slippery. Trying to avoid the water is very hard because you also might not have very grip on your shoes. This is related to science because Newton’s first law of motion is Inertia which is “

This week, a place I saw science in the real world was when I was watching T.V on ESPN baseball highlights. I noticed Newton's 3rd law that every action has an equal or opposite reaction. The ball coming towards the batter from the pitcher was the action and the ball hitting back outfield when the batter swung to the ball. I had another example like when I was watching ESPN Sports Science that they had a slow motion of the batter hitting the ball and the batter the ball hit the bat then hit outfield.
